From KOMO News: Four Key Peninsula (Wash.) firefighters were demoted, disciplined or released from duty, and a fifth staff member was reprimanded over an incident that occurred during a fire training camp.
The four firefighters were with others at an annual training trip in Wenatchee from June 10 to June 12. The group, which included two battalion chiefs, decided to go to their hotel lounge and drink in the late hours, according to a department investigation.
One of the firefighters, an underage volunteer, got so sick from drinking alcohol that he threw up in his hotel room and left the shower running. The water eventually spilled over into the hotel room below.
