Beginning a new scholarship for FRI, the IAFC’s EMS Section has announced they will sponsor a new EMS chief to attend Fire-Rescue International (FRI) 2011 in Atlanta. The section will cover the cost of the all-access registration package at FRI for the most recently appointed EMS chief to apply.

This package includes all FRI seminars and workshops, the Officer Development Program and the general sessions, as well as networking activities like the welcome reception, the street party and the presidential celebration. In addition, the all-access registration package includes the two-day expo pass.

The selected EMS chief also will be reimbursed for travel and related expenses up to a given maximum based on average expenses.

To apply, submit the following information via e-mail to EMSsection@iafc.org no later than Monday, Aug. 8. The winner of the package will be the chief whose appointment date is closest to the application deadline. Winner will be announced on Aug. 10.
