9 Injured when Forest Service Transport Crashes

A van carrying a crew of U.S. Forest Service firefighters went over a 15-foot embankment about 9:30 p.m. Monday.

From the Los Angeles Times: Two firefighters were being treated Tuesday at a Los Angeles hospital for injuries suffered after their truck overturned just outside Angeles National.

There were nine injured firefighters in all. Seven were taken to area hospitals and were treated and released that night. The two other firefighters had to be extracted from the crash by emergency crews and then flown to USC University Hospital.
