From KXII TV: Firefighters from the New York Fire Department went to Texoma, Okla., to give local firefighters special training in rescue tactics.

Thirty-five firefighters from eight different departments learned rapid-intervention techniques from FDNY members.

The Choctaw Nation provided the FDNY firefighters with rooms at the new resort for free. And the Calera Fire Department got a grant from FEMA to bring them in. The fire departments also each paid training fees.
