Chicago Suburb Files Unfair-Labor Complaint

The city and fire union have been having contract talks over the union's role in making changes to staffing or service levels, with union representatives wanting any changes to those levels to be subject to negotiations.

From the Chicago Tribune: The city of Evanston has filed an unfair labor practice complaint with the Illinois Labor Relations Board against Firefighters Union Local 742, accusing the union of trying to prevent city officials from determining service and staffing levels for the fire department.
