E-One Sends First eMax Vehicle Into Service

The Apex (N.C.) Fire Department is the first to place an eMAX by E-ONE into active service.

Debuted at FDIC in April, the new pump location and apparatus configuration is designed to offer maneuverability with a short wheelbase, up to 586 cubic feet of storage, accessibility with low, pre-connected handlines and a rear access ladder; and utility with the ability to carry equipment necessary for fire, rescue and EMS response in one organized apparatus.

Apex’s eMAX is Class A–equipped for NFPA as an engine, accredited as a medium-duty rescue, and carries 2,000 feet of hose.
