Phoenix-based architect Lawrence Enyart, FAIA, of LEA-Architects LLC received the silver medal from the American Institute of Architects (AIA)–Western Mountain Region.

Phoenix-based architect Lawrence Enyart, FAIA, of LEA-Architects LLC received the silver medal from the American Institute of Architects (AIA)–Western Mountain Region. The medal is the highest AIA honor presented by the region and recognizes an individual architect who has made significant contributions to the institute, the profession, the citizens of the Western Mountain Region, and their communities.

"It's a wonderful honor to have been selected by the AIA Honors Awards Jury for the top AIA Silver Medal," Enyart said at the presentation. "I am very humbled to be associated with the limited number of celebrated architects previously selected for the AIA WMR Silver Medal in its 33-year history. Architecture is such a deeply rewarding and wonderful profession. To be able to share my sustainable design values and contributions to our community has always been something my firm has focused on.”

Enyart was recognized for his sustainable-design contributions to public architecture the past 36 years, his service as an Air Force general officer serving as chairman of the Air Force Design Advisory Council, his services to the institute, and his leadership in providing disaster assistance to various countries and states in the U.S.
