From the Tribune Chronicle: Bristol (Ohio) Asst. Fire Chief Steve Craiger has been placed on administrative leave following accusations that he spied on the department through webcams.
Trumbull County sheriff's deputies will see if criminal charges are warranted related to wiretapping, eavesdropping and any other privacy rights violations, according to emergency trustees.
Firefighters told Chief Roger French and trustees that they believed that cameras on fire department computers were configured to remotely video and or audio record departmental personnel without their knowledge.
Trustees also passed a resolution at the emergency meeting prohibiting the use of video and or audio surveillance recording in the fire station until further notice.
