Continental Girbau recently introduced its ExpressDry Gear Dryer, which is engineered to safely and quickly dry turnout gear, helmets, gloves, boots and face masks. The dryer is designed to work in concert with a highly programmable E-Series ExpressWash washer.

The NFPA-compliant dryer accommodates four to six turnout suits simultaneously, depending on the model, and can dry gear within hours.

The ExpressDry Gear Dryer uses a 110-volt fan to push a large volume of air through the garment from the inside out. Because the fan operates using ambient air, the dryer is more energy- efficient than cabinet-style dryers, according to the manufacturer. The dryer comes standard with a LED timer with automatic shut- off, steel construction, casters for ease of movement, 12 component drying ports, removable blower and a noise-reduction package. The blower can be removed and attached to your pump's water ports for quick drying, preventing damage from winter freeze ups.
