Waterway now is offering vacuum testing for hard-suction hoses in addition to its other annual NFPA testing services.

NFPA 1962 requires annual testing of hard-suction hose. This test does not use pressure as in standard fire-hose testing but rather requires a dry vacuum test. This test will identify deficiencies in the hose including signs of physical damage, collapsing of the inner liner and holes, which produce air leaks that can prohibit attaining a prime from draft.
