Waterous Upgrades Foam System

The Waterous Advantus foam system was mentioned in an article in the November 2007 issue of FIRE CHIEF magazine. Recently, Waterous has made an upgrade to that system to further improve the accuracy.

The latest Advantus systems now include a temperature sensor to further adjust the foam concentrate based on the incoming water temperature. Temperature is an important consideration in producing foam mixtures, and the new systems are now more accurate than before.

The Advantus foam systems are capable of handling flowrates up to 1,250 gpm with an optional 3-inch process manifold and can be operated at pressures up to 450 psi. They provide a number of standard functions and features including push button control of foam proportioning, constant water flowrate display and a low concentrate warning light. The Advantus systems are suitable for use with Class A and Class B foams in proportions from 0.1% to 6%.
