The following policy has been developed as a guide to assist customers in preventing damage to the various components and attachments of their vehicle.
A Vehicle Wash (either diluted as directed by manufacturer or in concentrated form) to be used on emergency response vehicles, trucks, cars, and other equipment shall cause no pitting, corrosion, cracking, permanent softening, peeling, darkening, discoloration, hazing, fading, delaminating, paint removal, or other material alteration (visible or otherwise) from any component (lenses, decals, coatings, seals, and others) attached to and part of those vehicles.
A Vehicle Wash in diluted form (as directed by manufacturer) shall adequately clean an emergency response vehicle, truck or other equipment and its components without leaving a film or a residue behind after rinsing.
The Vehicle Wash product shall be an aqueous liquid (and NOT a powder) and be completely free from the following chemical categories and ALL of the specific chemicals within those categories or otherwise noted on the Banned Chemicals List (Below)

Any Vehicle Wash product used to wash emergency response trucks and other vehicles (that contain lighting lenses, decals, coatings, seals and other susceptible components) should NOT contain specific chemicals in any of the following chemical categories or component damage may result.

Acetates, Acetic Acid, Alcohols (i.e. IPA, Ethanol), Aldehydes, Alkane Solvents (i.e. hexane), Amides, Amines (i.e. MEA, TEA), Ammonia, Aromatic Solvents, Benzoates, Bicarbonates (i.e. baking soda), Borates (i.e. borax), Bromines or Bromides, Carbonic Acid (i.e. phenol), Carbonates (i.e. soda ash), Chlorides (i.e. salt), Chlorinated Solvents (i.e. methylene chloride), Chelants (i.e. EDTA), Citric Acid, Citrous Oils, Dibasic Esters, Diethylene Glycol Ethers, Diethylene Glycol Ether Acetates, Ethylene Glycol, Ethylene Glycol Ether Acetates, Glycerine, Glycolic Acid, Hydroxides (i.e. caustic) Hypochlorites (i.e. bleach), Iodines or Iodides, Lactic Acid, Kerosene, Ketones (i.e. acetone, toluene), Metasilicates, Mineral Spirits, Naptha and Napthalene, Nonyl Phenol Ethoxylates (i.e. NP9, NP12), Oleic Acid, Perchlorethylene, Peroxides, Phosphates, Phosate Esters, Pthalates and Parabens, Pine Oil, Pyrrolidones (i.e. NMP), Hydroxides (i.e. caustic soda), Silicones, Sulfates and Sufides, Terpenes (i.e. d-limonene), Turpentine
