Toyne Gets Add-On Orders From Des Moines

Des Moines, Iowa, added two CAFS pumpers to its order placed with Toyne Fire Apparatus in November 2007.

The add-on apparatus will be the department’s third and fourth CAFS pumpers. They will feature Toyne heavy-duty stainless-steel bodies on Spartan Gladiator EMFD chassis with Detroit Diesel Series 60 engines and Hale 1,500-gpm pumps and CAF systems. Other features include Cummins Onan hydraulic generators, UPF water tanks and FRC flow meters.

Overall, these latest orders will be Des Moines’ 25th and 26th Toyne units. For more information, go to www.toyne.com
