Tempest Unveils Lightweight MVU

Tempest Technology unveiled the MVU-125 lightweight mobile ventilation unit at FDIC in April.

Tempest Technology, manufacturers of a wide range of ventilation fans, unveiled the new MVU-125 mobile ventilation unit at the Fire Department Instructors Conference in April. It's designed for departments that want a compact, economical means of providing high-flow ventilation.

The new MVU-125 uses a 48-inch carbon-fiber blade with a 100hp engine to generate over 120,000cfm of air flow. It's ideal for ventilation of high-rise buildings, tunnels, airport terminals, sports arenas, convention centers, warehouses and other large commercial structures. The compact design allows it to be mounted on a truck, trailer or skid for easy transportation.

Options include a hydraulically elevated platform, rotation and tilt capabilities to better aim the air flow, and a misting system for mass decontamination.
