Two firefighters in North Carolina were killed in a rollover accident while responding to an abandoned mobile home fire with a fire department tanker. Neither was wearing a seatbelt or safety restraint.

The two victims were the sole occupants of a 1,200-gallon tanker that was en route to a structure fire in an abandoned mobile home. For some reason, the tanker left the roadway and rolled over. Both victims passed away at the scene, with one being ejected from the vehicle and the other crushed. The two firefighters were reportedly not wearing safety restraints.
