Sutphen now will offer LifeGuard Technologies' RollTek side-roll protection system on its apparatus.

RollTek combines side airbag protection with advanced seatbelt technology to reduce the potential for serious injuries or fatalities in a rollover. The system deploys in a rollover within a quarter of a second to position occupants securely in their seats and cushion the head and neck.

"We're excited to make this addition to our fire apparatus," said Sutphen President Drew Sutphen. "We know this adds another level of safety that will help keep firefighters safe on the job."
