Griswold Installation Service of Campbell County, Ky., operates a specialized shop truck to install and maintain communications gear and other electronic devices in the field.

The unit has been in operation for three years and was designed and equipped to provide on-site services for departments throughout the area. The truck is built around a Ford Excursion with a supercharged V-10 engine. It features Whelen warning lights, a Jotto Deck in the dash console and a custom command console with tools and test equipment in the rear. The unit provides a clean, enclosed environment for sensitive equipment, as well as acts as a demonstration unit for customers.
