Sac Metro Names Fleet Manager

The Sacramento (Calif.) Metropolitan Fire District has named Fred Beno as the new fleet manager. He was formerly vehicle maintenance supervisor for the City of Sacramento.

Sac Metro protects a population of about 600,000 in an area of 417 square miles surrounding the city of Sacramento. The district operates out of 42 stations with 750 uniformed and support personnel.

The Fleet Maintenance Department maintains approximately 300 emergency and support vehicles with a staff of 18 technicians and related personnel.
