Plastisol Bodies Become Widely Available

Plastisol Composites is constructing a plant in Groton, N.Y., and has signed agreements with 15 North American manufacturers to sell its composite bodies for apparatus.

Alan Saulsbury, president of Plastisol Composites North America, said the company “has over 20 units on order or in service now … and the numbers are growing each month.”

The Plastisol bodies are made from a glass-fiber reinforced polyester resin that is flame retardant, non-conducting and corrosion-resistant. It allows the body to be formed with integral water and foam tanks, compartments and hosebeds without a metal subframe. The compartments have seamless interiors that allow clean, efficient equipment storage and mounting.

For more information about Plastisol bodies, call 607-753-3702 or visit the company's Web site.
