Florida EVT Association to Host Fall Training Session
The Florida Association of Emergency Vehicle Technicians will host the National EVT Training Symposium Fall Session in Daytona Beach, Fla., on Oct. 23-27. This new training event is now in its second year and provides an excellent opportunity for fire mechanics and emergency vehicle technicians to brush up on their skills before taking the EVT Certification Commission exams.
This year's event will be held at the Hilton Daytona Beach Ocean Walk Village and will focus exclusively on review classes for the EVTCC exams. Classes will review subject matter for the F-2 (Fire Apparatus Design and Performance), F-3 (Fire Pumps and Accessories), F-4 (Fire Apparatus Electrical Systems), F-5 (Aerial Fire Apparatus) and F-6 (Allison Automatic Transmission) exams. Other classes may be offered, and prospective students should check the Web site for the latest information.
Students who wish to take one or more of the EVTCC exams may do so at a special test site (#10276) on Oct. 27 as part of the symposium. Pre-registration with the EVTCC is required.
