SMEAL'S HYDRAULIC HOSE BED COVER

Add another level of safety and convenience to your pumper with this hydraulic hose bed cover. The hose bed storage area is covered with two aluminum treadplate doors, which are hinged along the full outside length with stainless-steel piano hinges. The doors have an J-inch aluminum inner panel and are power-operated with a self-contained hydraulic system that smoothly opens and closes the doors one at a time. The cylinders lower into a compartment separate from the stored hose to ensure unobstructed hose deployment operations. The doors stay firmly closed in road-ready position until the operator applies the momentary switch, which is located at the rear of the truck, allowing the operator to view the doors while operating the mechanism from ground level. When open, the doors are secure and can provide support during hose reloading.

The power unit is operable only when the parking brake is applied. The doors are connected to the truck's open-door warning system. An audible alarm sounds when door movement begins. SUTPHEN'S MID-MOUNT PLATFORM

The SPH 100 is the most recent addition to Sutphen's extensive line of mid-mount aerial platforms. Always a leader in aerial-platform technology, Sutphen engineered the SPH 100 to have a shorter, more maneuverable wheelbase providing a tighter turning radius and a five-section box boom aerial ladder for a more compact aerial design. These improvements plus the already long list of benefits of a Sutphen mid-mount aerial platform make the SPH 100 the best selling aerial platform in the business. The aerial is Sutphen's signature box boom with huck-bolted aluminum design for strength and stability. Constructing the aerial with aluminum allows for a lighter overall weight and the box boom design allows for a totally enclosed and protected aerial waterway. The SPH 100 also features an all stainless-steel body and substructure with ladder storage enclosed at the rear of the apparatus below the aerial. The apparatus includes, as standard, a 1,500-gpm Hale pump, 300-gallon water tank and dual-platform turrets. Also available in truck company configuration, the SPH 100 can carry over 200 feet of ground ladders. Sutphen, www.sutphen.com

TFT'S DUAL-PRESSURE NOZZLES

TFT's dual-pressure automatic nozzles are better than smooth-bores. More and more firefighters are using America's toughest laboratories to prove that TFT's Mid-Force, Dual-Force or Max-Force models can automatically deliver quality streams anytime and everytime. Compare streams side by side and see for yourself. Not only will TFT's dual pressure be at least equal and generally better than any smooth bore, but with dual-pressure nozzles you'll automatically get maximum reach at high pressure (flows up to 500 gpm) or maximum flow in low pressure (55- and 45-psi low-pressure versions). And you'll automatically fall in love with less nozzle reaction, perfect streams even when gated, and a full-fill fog pattern for protection or hydraulic ventilation. They flush without shutting down, and all carry TFT's five-year product warranty. Task Force Tips, www.tft.com
