Four Injured When Engine Rolls

Four firefighters in Texas were injured on their way to a house fire when their engine left the road and rolled.

The accident occurred at about 9 p.m. as apparatus from several departments were responding to a house fire in a rural area. According to an accident report, the driver of one of the apparatus was looking into the trees along the road to spot the fire and swerved the vehicle to the left. The apparatus then rolled over, injuring four firefighters. Three of the injured were transported to a hospital by ambulance, and one was airlifted by helicopter.

The fire, which apparently started when a space heater ignited curtains, destroyed the house.
