Fire-Dex Announces Challenge Winners

Lt. Gene Marcheschi of the Blue Island Fire Department (Ill.) is the grand prize winner of the "Take the Fire-Dex Challenge" and recipient of the "Heat of the Battle" custom chopper. Fire-Dex's firefighter-inspired, custom-built Orange County chopper was the grand prize in the "Take the Fire-Dex Challenge" event at FDIC. To compete, firefighters tried on Fire-Dex turnout gear and challenged an opponent in an obstacle course to be entered into a random drawing. Nearly 1,000 people participated in the challenge to be eligible for the chopper or one of three sets of turnout gear autographed by Paul Teutul, Sr.
