FDSOA Announces Symposium Program

The 20th Annual Apparatus Specification and Vehicle Maintenance Symposium is scheduled for January 20–23, 2008, in Orlando, Fla. Organizers announced they plan to have more than 25 presentations on subjects ranging from “Designing a Safe Wildland Fire Apparatus” to “An Update on NFPA 1901 for 2009.”

This popular event is sponsored by the Fire Department Safety Officers Association in cooperation with the Fire Apparatus Manufacturers Association. Participants typically include fire chiefs, senior apparatus and equipment officers, shop supervisors and lead emergency vehicle technicians. The symposium provides a fast-paced and friendly environment to share the latest information on specification and maintenance issues that affect emergency vehicles.

For more information about the upcoming symposium, call 508-881-3114 or visit FDSOA's Web site.
