EVTCC Certification Requires Renewal
Did you know that EVTCC certification requires periodic renewal to remain valid? Technicians must take a re-certification exam every five years for each area in which they hold EVTCC certification.
The re-certification exams cover the current level of information in a particular area and may contain different questions than technicians encountered on previous exams. Some technicians may want to attend review classes to prepare. A few EVT training events offer 4-hour review classes for more experienced technicians instead of the 16- to 32-hour review classes designed to help first-time exam takers.
The re-certification exams are shorter than the initial exam, so technicians can often take more than one in a test session. The registration fee for re-certification exams is also less.
