National EVT Training Academy is a Hit

The National EVT Training Academy moved to its new site in Daytona Beach, Fla., for a week of practical training and other activities. This popular annual event scored another hit as fire mechanics and emergency vehicle technicians from across the Southeast participated in classes, looked at new products and took EVTCC tests.

The academy was sponsored by the Florida Association of Emergency Vehicle Technicians, which has been organizing it for more than 10 years. This year's event was held during the week of May 15-19 at the Technology Center in Daytona Beach. It was the first time the academy was held at this location, and the new facility was well received by all. On the last day, 116 technicians took over 150 EVTCC certification tests.

FAEVT plans to hold another session in the fall. Look for an announcement in the next issue of In Service Online or go to www.ffca.org
