New Elkhart Nozzles Go High-Tech

Elkhart Brass introduced two new nozzles that use high-tech designs to deliver performance unlike any other nozzles.

Elkhart Brass introduced two new nozzles that use high-tech designs to deliver performance unlike any other nozzles.

The Elkhart Solid Strike nozzle delivers solid-bore straight streams at variable flow rates without shutting down the line to change tips. The patent-pending design uses an internal shaping device that throttles the flow and then hydraulically brings the stream back into a solid core without entraining air or inducing excessive turbulence. The flow rate and shut-off are controlled by the bail-type handle and have detent settings of 52 gpm (½ inch), 159 gpm (7⁄8 inch) and 209 gpm (1 inch) at 50-psi nozzle pressure. Flowrates increase at higher pressures. The maximum nozzle operating pressure is 200 psi. The Solid Strike features an integral stream shaper, pistol grip, color-coded reflective band and swivel inlet as standard.

The Elkhart Flex Attack Compressed Air Foam nozzle gives the user the option to switch between wet foam, dry foam or water only without shutting down. This three-in-one nozzle is rated to deliver 184 gpm at 50 psi in the water setting and has a maximum nozzle pressure of 200 psi. The Flex Attack features a patent-pending pressure balancing chamber and variable smooth bore design, pistol grip, reflective color-coded band and swivel inlet as standard.

Every retirement is different, but I knew after I retired I was going to need something to keep me busy and it had to be something I enjoyed.
