Duo-Safety Ladder Corp. of Oshkosh, Wis., celebrates its 75th anniversary this year. According to the company, it is the oldest and largest manufacturer of firefighting ladders in North America.

Duo-Safety makes a wide variety of fire department ground ladders in both aluminum and fiberglass models. Its aluminum ladders include single-section folding, roof and wall ladders, as well as two- and three-section extension ladders. Departments can choose from solid-beam and truss-sided construction with most aluminum ladders. Its fiberglass ladders include solid-beam construction in several configurations and lengths for additional electrical protection.

Duo-Safety also publishes an excellent guide to ladder maintenance with the memorable slogan "Use a Good Ladder or Stay on the Ground."
