Darley Acquires Ohler Pump

W.S. Darley & Co. has acquired all the assets of Ohler Pump Co. of Janesville, Iowa. The purchase allows Darley to offer several pumps for a variety of applications.

Ohler Pump has been in business since 1947 and recently secured a contract from the U.S. Marine Corps to build 2,300 portable refueling and potable water transfer pumps. Ohler pumps are powered by electric motors or gasoline and diesel engines and can be configured for portable, vehicle-mounted, trailer-mounted or stationary applications. They can pump water, fuel or a variety of chemicals to meet specific needs.

In the future, Darley said that it plans to expand the Ohler Pump facility in Iowa and hire additional employees.
