Crimson Fire Delivers Unique Water Tender

The Northern Arizona Consolidated Fire District #1 recently received a unique Crimson Fire pumper/water tender equipped with a Boomer aerial device. The unit serves as a combination engine company and ladder/service company in a rural area north of Kingman, Ariz.

The new apparatus was built on a Sterling chassis with a Hale 1,500-gpm pump, Pro Poly 3,000-gal water tank and 50-gal Class A foam tank. It is also equipped with a generator and carries other service company items. The 28-ft Boomer aerial device provides both an elevated master stream and area lighting. It was the first production model of the new aerial device.

The fire district protects an area of 65 sq. mi. from 8 stations. It was formed in 2007 when several smaller departments merged in order to improve their response and service capabilities.
