Caterpillar Offers Medium-Duty Automatic Transmission

Caterpillar now offers the Cat CX28 6-speed automatic transmission for use with their C7 and C9 engines.

The new CX28 is fully automatic and is rated up to 400hp and 1,250 foot-pounds peak torque. It is designed for use with medium-duty vehicles in on-highway applications only. According to Cat, the new transmission will not be available with other engines at this time.
