Calgary Orders 10 Rosenbauer Pumpers

The city of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, has ordered 10 Rosenbauer custom pumpers. This first order of pumpers is the start of the department’s fleet plan for the next five to seven years.

The pumpers will be built on Spartan Gladiator LFD chassis with an extra 4-inches-high roof. They will feature top-mount enclosed pump panels, 1,750-gpm Waterous pumps, 455-hp Detroit Diesel Series 60 engines, angled rear crew seats, DeckMaster monitors, Eclipse CAFS, roll-up doors, General extruded aluminum body, hydraulic over-the-side ladder rack, V-Mux multiplexing, LED warning lights, EQ2B siren, and a red-and-white paint scheme.

The first delivery date will be April 2010 and will be delivered in three groups.
