Emergency Burn Bans in New York

Jefferson and Lewis counties (N.Y.) issued emergency burn bans on Tuesday, April 22, according to WNYF News. Officials in both counties cited reasons for the ban as extremely dry conditions and concerns regarding large-scale grass, brush and forest fires. The bans will run through Sunday, April 27, at noon in Jefferson County and 3 p.m. in Lewis County.
