Albuquerque Orders 4 Seagrave Pumpers

Each new Seagrave will feature a 500-hp Cummins ISM engine, a 2,000-gpm Waterous pump and 500-gallon water tank. The apparatus will be built on Seagrave’s Marauder II all-stainless- steel chassis.

Seagrave Fire Apparatus is building four pumpers for the Albuquerque Fire Department.

Each new Seagrave will feature a 500-hp Cummins ISM engine, a 2,000-gpm Waterous pump and 500-gallon water tank. The apparatus will be built on Seagrave’s Marauder II all-stainless- steel chassis, featuring Seagrave’s exclusive safety cage substructure in a 140-inch-long cab with an 8-inch raised roof and seating for six firefighters.

The Albuquerque Fire Department’s 23 stations serve a population of approximately 528,497 and provide mutual aid to the surrounding area. The total metro population is 869,684.

The first of Albuquerque’s new pumpers is due for delivery to the city in early 2011.
