Akron Releases Several New Products

FDIC visitors had an opportunity to see several new products from Akron Brass, including monitors, nozzles, lights and others.

The Akron Style 3406 Electric Riser for use with the Akron DeckMaster monitor. It features a three-piece design to provide a compact package for use on modern pump modules. The riser adds 12 inches height to the standard 26-inch height of the DeckMaster to give a combined nozzle height of 38 inches when fully raised.

Another new monitor product from Akron is the Style 5179 Nozzle with an integral shut-off valve to eliminate the need for a separate butterfly valve on aerial devices. The nozzle features a variable pattern control.

Departments that use gels for wildland/urban interface structure protection can now specify the Akron Style 1230 1-inch self-educting forestry nozzle capable of flowing 15 gpm at 100 psi. Designed for easy cleaning with a check valve in the eductor to prevent water from entering the gel, this nozzle is specifically designed for use with these agents.

The Akron Extenda-Lite family of scene lighting products now has a new series of cab brow mounting options for the popular low-profile Beta lighthead. The design includes a brow shield option to help reduce glare through the windshield and contoured universal brackets to fit new apparatus cab designs.

For more information about these and other new products, contact a local authorized distributor or call the Akron Brass Customer Service Department at 800-228-1161.
