Hinz Named American LaFrance President, CEO

Bill Hinz has joined Patriarch Partners Management Group as the managing director, platform leader for the Aero, Auto and Truck Platform, which includes American LaFrance, Global Automotive Systems and MD Helicopters. Hinz’s primary focus at this time is to restructure and institute necessary processes at American LaFrance.

Effective immediately, Hinz will assume the role as president and CEO of American LaFrance, in addition to his role as managing director of the Platform. He will be responsible for the daily operations at American LaFrance and the senior staff will report directly to him. Former President John Stevenson will work with Hinz on various special projects that the company is currently executing.

Hinz has more than 40 years of experience leading manufacturing companies in the aerospace, biotechnology and telecommunications industries. He has spent almost 30 years at Allied Signal, where he served, among other roles, as the president of Worldwide Aftermarket Repair and Overhaul and Distribution, as well as president and CEO of European Operations.
