American LaFrance Names Engineering VP

Mark Gobessi has been named vice president of engineering for American LaFrance. He will be responsible for product design and development for the company's line of chassis, aerials, ambulances, pumpers, rescues and tankers.

Prior to his new assignment, Gobessi held management positions at several major vehicle manufacturers, including Union City Body Company, Autocar Trucks and Western Star Trucks.

"Mark brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in custom vocational vehicles," says John Stevenson, president and CEO of American LaFrance. "His experience, coupled with an entrepreneurial spirit, will give our customers the solutions that they need in a timely, cost-acceptable manner."
